RCRC Launches Tenth Annual Rural County Photo Contest

SACRAMENTO, CA – The Rural County Representatives of California (RCRC) is holding its Tenth Annual Rural County Photo Contest, taking place from July 1 through July 31, 2026. Celebrating a decade of highlighting the beauty, diversity, and spirit of rural California, the contest invites photographers of all experience levels to submit images that capture the scenery, activities, communities, history, and unique charm of RCRC’s 40 member counties.
Photo entries should be submitted on the photo contest webpage or by email to [email protected]. All entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. on July 31, 2026, be the original work of the submitter, and include:
- Location where the photo was taken, including the county in which it was taken
- The photographer’s full name and email address.
Last year’s contest saw strong engagement across rural California, with 320 entries from 155 photographers representing 37 RCRC counties.
The grand prize winner will receive a $300 Amazon gift card, and the winning photograph will be unveiled at the September RCRC Board of Directors Meeting. The second-place finalist will receive a $150 Amazon gift card, and the third-place finalist will receive a $75 Amazon gift card.
