Mendenhall Park Playground: Open to the public

Inyo County Parks and Recreation is pleased to announce that the construction of the new playground at Mendenhall Park in Big Pine, is now open to the public.
The Mendenhall Park playground was identified as a priority for replacement by the Board of Supervisors and Inyo County Public Works. The new playground includes the following new features:
– A new swing-set and a small dome climber suitable for kids aged 2-5 & 5-12
– A new playset with several slides, noise makers, and climbing features suitable for kids aged 5-12
– A new 30 foot long zipline suitable for kids aged 5-12
– A new spinner/merry-go-round suitable for kids aged 5-12
– Newly installed woodchips for safety
The playground project was completed and opened to the public on July 1st.
This Monday, July 13th, there will be a grand opening with the Inyo County Board of Supervisors, the Big Pine Civic Club, and the Big Pine Community to celebrate the new playground! On behalf of Inyo County Public Works and Inyo County Parks and Recreation, we hope that the public goes out to enjoy the new playground.
