IT’S FACE SHOT SEASON
After another massive storm dropped over 6+ FEET earlier this week, we are seeing a quick break in the storm cycle today. We are operating most lower mountain lifts today and working to expand to mid-mountain and higher as conditions allow and our team continues to dog out. We haven’t seen a snowpack like this in over half a decade. With 153” of snow at Main Lodge in 12 days, this has been a memorable few weeks, to say the least. We are expecting another storm to come through this weekend with up to 4 feet in the forecast by early next week.
This has been an intense blizzard cycle – be prepared for travel in adverse conditions, always carry chains and know how to use them, and use public transportation when possible. Be aware of the dangers that come with deep snow and Snow Immersion Suffocation (SIS) – ski and ride with a buddy and always keep your buddy in sight. For the latest road conditions and chain controls, download the CalTrans QuickMap App or check out our Road Conditions page.
