Rain on the Way?
Hurricane Kay is spinning off the west coast of Mexico and forecasted to send some moisture up our way Saturday afternoon into early next week. Which means we could be looking at a few days of phenomenal soil conditions in the park.
The trail crew has been working on Flow and Downtown as well as in the Discovery Zone and on Skid Marks. Upper “Skiddies,” as we call it, has been on point the last few weeks: it’s rough, exposed, and depending on the wind, has us a bit gripped. It is truly awesome.
For the next two Saturdays, The Village Bike Park Shuttle will be picking riders up at the Red Line stop on Minaret, across from Old New York Deli & Bakery. Although construction continues to impact the bike park with a handful of trails currently closed, Chain Smoke and Velocity will reopen for the weekend. Riders will descend the summer road just past the top of Unbound Express (6), where both trails branch off. Check our Lift & Trail Status page for up-to-date info.
