TO THE TOP!
Honestly, we weren’t sure if we would get Off the Top open this season. 900” of snow fell at the summit of Mammoth Mountain, with even more accumulating in the wind loaded, gullies, rollers, and other nooks and crannies. But with another solid week of work, trail crew and bike patrol were able to clear most of the snow and get the trail buffed out and ready to shred. Other trails now open include The Eliminator, White Bark, and Shock Treatment. Ricochet will open tomorrow, August 18.
Rain has fallen pretty much every day for the last week making for some of the best conditions we’ve seen in years. Just enough to keep the dirt damp and tacky without washing anything out. Pedalpalooza is happening this Saturday so keep an eye out for racers if you’re riding the park before noon. We will be closing Timber Ridge, Lakes Trail, and Uptown from F Stop to Main Lodge for the morning.
Another reminder that we will be closing Shotgun, Smooth Operator, and Big Ring on weekdays for safety reasons during construction. These are hard closures and anyone caught breaking them will lose their pass.
