Special Town Council Meeting – May 25

The Town Council and Planning and Economic Development Commission (PEDC) received a preview of the proposed Phase 2 of The Parcel. The concept design for the Phase 2 project incorporating 148 units will be presented to the PEDC for approval on June 8 including comments and suggestions from Town Council. Town Council authorized a funding commitment letter for the project of just under $5.1 million including financing the sale of the property, loan for payment of Town Development Impact Fees and “gap” funding to support other funding applications. Parks, Recreation, Trails and Road Update

 – What’s happening this Memorial Weekend in Mammoth Lakes? Click here…

– The Lakes Basin Road will OPEN for vehicle access this Friday, May 27 at 2:00pm. The Lakes Basin will also be stocked with 2,800 pounds of Trophy sized trout – fish on!

– The Lakes Basin Trolley begins operation on Saturday, May 28.

Tioga Road (Hwy 120 through the park) will open on Friday, May 27, at 9am (reservation is required from 6am to 4pm).

Sierra Star Golf Course opens this Friday, May 27 for summer play!

– The Official Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the Shady Rest DiscGolfPark was held on May 24. Get out and enjoy this wonderful, FREE, PDGA sanctioned 18-hole course!

– The Whitmore Pool is now OPEN for lap swim and Swim Team practice sessions. Pool opens for public swimming on June 11.

– Community Tennis Courts and restrooms are now OPEN for summer play!
