Community Funding Programs

The community of Mammoth Lakes has several funding opportunities for local organizations to help grow a youth sports program, host a special event, or provide diverse and enhanced arts, culture or recreation programs for the residents and visitors of Mammoth Lakes. Community funding is offered by government, non-profit and not-for profit organizations throughout Mammoth Lakes and Mono County.
Special Event Funding – Managed by Mammoth Lakes Tourism, event organizers can apply now through December 13, 2024.
Mono County Community Support Grants – Managed by the Mono County Economic Development, Tourism & Film Commission, three grants are available and include the Community Event Marketing Fund (CEMF), Historical Societies Grant Program (HSGP), and the Performing & Visual Arts Grant Program (PVAGP). Applications close December 1, 2024.

The Town is recruiting for a variety of entry-level, skilled, professional, and executive-level positions, both temporary and full-time. Spartan Super World Championship Debuts in Mammoth Lakes, October 2025

Spartan is set to make history as Mammoth Lakes welcomes the inaugural Spartan Super World Championship on October 4-5, 2025. The Super distance, a challenging 10K race featuring 25 of Spartans signature obstacles, will take center stage, making its world championship debut. The race weekend will also offer a Sprint 5K, Super 10K, Beast 21K, and a Kids 1-3K event.

Haunted Ice Rink on October 25

Join Parks and Recreation for some spooky family fun at The Haunted Ice Rink from 4-7pm on Friday, October 25 at LA Kings Ice at Mammoth Lakes. Ice skating begins at 4pm with a 5-year-old and younger costume contest at 4:30pm. Games and spooky activities run from 5:15-6:15pm with a 6-year-old and older costume contest at 6:15pm. Entry fee is only $5 and includes ice skating plus skate rentals/helmet. Non-skating adults are FREE!

October 31: Halloween in the Trails (5-8:30pm)
November 15: Opening Day at Mammoth Mountain
