Be Bear Aware this Labor Day Weekend!
We all have a responsibility to respect the wildlife whose habitat we share. Please take the time to educate yourself about ways to recreate responsibly in bear country by visiting the MLPD website. This includes never feeding bears or wildlife, never leaving food or scented items in your vehicle or campsite (stash your food & trash), never approaching or harassing a bear, and most importantly, giving them plenty of space. Bears are wild animals, lets keep them that way! If you encounter a bear and need assistance, call 911.
