We started the game strong, holding a 2-point lead at the end of the first quarter. While the second quarter was a bit challenging, we faced some adversity but still had several bright moments. Despite missing a key player, others stepped up to fill the gap, and we continued to show resilience. At halftime, we made the adjustment to a 2-3 zone, which briefly disrupted their rhythm, though they answered with some well-timed corner threes. We continued to get good looks, but shots just weren’t falling for us tonight.
In the third quarter, Kern Valley built a larger lead as we struggled with fatigue, but our team never gave up. In the fourth, we switched to a full-court man-to-man press and gave it our all, showing great determination and hustle. Though we ultimately fell short by 19 points, our effort and perseverance throughout the game were clear, and we have a lot to build on for future matchups.
