Town Council Meeting Agenda Items for December 17, 2025

Town Council Presentation: Recognition of Mammoth Lakes Tourism President & CEO John Urdi for his 15 years of service to the Town of Mammoth Lakes.

Staff Presentation: Mammoth Lakes Wildfire Task Force Year-In-Review.

Public Hearings: (1) Consideration of an appeal of the October 8, 2025, Planning and Economic Development Commission decision to approve the 54 Mono Street Apartments entitlement application consisting of Use Permit 24-003, Design Review 24-006, and Adjustment 25-005. (2) Consideration of second reading and adoption of an ordinance amending Title 15 of the Municipal Code for the purpose of adopting the 2025 CA Building Standards Code.

Policy Matters: (1) Authorize the Town Manager to execute a contract to purchase partition walls and casework for the Town Hall. (2) Discuss Amendments to Town Council Strategic Priorities for 2026.

Community Tree Lighting Ceremony is TONIGHT!

The Community Tree Lighting Ceremony returns to Mammoth Creek Park and the Community Recreation Center (CRC) TONIGHT from 5:00pm with ice skating from 6:00-7:30pm. Celebrate the arrival of the festive season with Santa and a personal welcome from the new Town of Mammoth Lakes Mayor, Amanda Rice and Mayor Pro-Tem Brent Truax. Warm yourself around the firepit on the deck and roast Smores compliments of the Parks and Recreation Department. Enjoy live carolers, hot beverages and shop the Holiday Market in the south lobby of the CRC. Join us for this FUN, family event, followed by ice skating at LA Kings Ice at Mammoth Lakes from 6:00-7:30pm. All Members are FREE and only $10 for the public with skate rental/helmets.

Parks and Recreation Master Plan Survey – Help Shape the Future of Parks and Recreation in Our Community!

A community survey has been mailed to all households in Mammoth Lakes. Mammoth Lakes Tourism Annual Resident Sentiment Survey

Mammoth Lakes Tourism is conducting its third annual Resident Sentiment Survey to gather feedback from our community. The survey is open to local residents, homeowners, and business owners who are 18 years of age or older. This year’s survey is shorter and conducted in partnership with research firm Longwoods International, who will compare results of this survey to regional and national results. The survey should take 10-15 minutes to complete and is open for a limited time. Thank you for taking the time to share your opinion!
