Town Of Mammoth Lakes

The Mammoth Lakes Chamber of Commerce (MLCC) Board of Directors has unanimously endorsed Mammoth Lakes Tourism’s (MLT) Tourism Business Improvement District (TBID) renewal. That endorsement includes the 10-year term for renewal as listed in the TBID Management Plan. To learn more about the importance of renewing the TBID, the positive impact the TBID has had on the Mammoth Lakes Business Community and to sign your petition go to www.mltbid.com

The TBID Management Plan will be presented to Town Council on April 5th, 4 pm in Suite Z. You are strongly encouraged to attend the Town Council Meeting and support MLT in their effort to secure renewal. If you have questions, please contact John Urdi at [email protected]

 Legislation is being supported by MLCC in an effort to assist our membership with more flexibility in work schedules.

UI FUND DEBT ASSISTANCE IN 2023-2024 BUDGET: An effort to have the State of California provide leadership and funding to the Unemployment Insurance Fund.

Through the CalTravel Governmental Relations Committee (GRC) MLCC has supported 3 separate pieces of legislation:

  1. SB 375 COVID-19 Regulatory Compliance Tax Credit. 
    This would reimburse employers for the cost of compliance with the new COVID-19 Prevention Non-Emergency Regulations in 2023 and 2024. Check out the letter HERE.
  2. AB 877 Income taxes: credit: lodging for displaced persons.
    This would allow a credit against those taxes to a taxpayer operating a hotel, motel, inn, bed and breakfast, or other similar transient lodgings… View more in the link below.
  3. AB 1712 Business Pandemic Relief.
    Concerning ABC licensing for the expansion of a licensed footprint, sales of alcoholic beverages to-go, and delivery privileges.
