Lift Served Shredding
With the Lower Panorama Gondola and Discovery Chair (CH 11) opening Friday it’s now time for lift-served hot laps to commence. Our beginner-friendly Discovery Zone will open featuring trails Discovery, Adventure, Explorer, Discotech, and the Skills Park. This is an awesome area for beginners and kiddos to get their confidence and run counts up. It’s also a great spot for more advanced riders to warm up before venturing further out around the mountain.
From mid-mountain, we will be opening the trails Midtown, Velocity, Twilight Zone, and lower Chain Smoke. Midtown is an intermediate adventure that meanders around the eastside of McCoy Station before descending through a section of trail we call “Knee Deep”. Featuring berms, rollers, and some fantastic terrain, Midtown is not to be missed!
Due to erosion and snowpack, the upper mountain is still being worked on with plans to open Off the Top on July 1. We’ll keep you posted on the trail crew’s progress. Note that temps for this weekend look brisk, bring a windbreaker.
