September 20, 2024 – Bishop, CA – Today, local singer-songwriter Sara Kaiser, known by her artist name Nectar Moth, releases her debut album Unfurl. After two and a half years of transformative creation, this record is more than just music—it’s an atmospheric journey that invites listeners to rediscover the magic and meaning within their own lives.
“I waited twenty years to finally say yes to my dream of being a singer, and Unfurl is what came through once I did,” says Kaiser. “This album is about transformation, about letting go of self-doubt, connecting deeply with the world around us, and trusting our intuition.”
The soundscapes of Unfurl are haunting yet luminous, intimate yet expansive. Behind the scenes, Kaiser’s creative journey was one of perseverance and learning. With little to no experience in songwriting, recording, and production, she threw herself into the process with sheer determination. “I had no idea how I was going to make it happen,” she admits. “I just took it one step at a time, learning everything along the way. Now that it is complete, I can confidently say that it far exceeds what I dreamed possible. I’m in awe of how it all came together and how much I learned in the process.”
A truly homegrown project, Unfurl was recorded mostly in Kaiser’s bedroom, proving that magic doesn’t require a big studio—just a wild heart, a vision, and the will to see it through. The discovery of Omnisphere, a sample software, opened up a new world of sound for Kaiser, allowing her to craft lush, intricate soundscapes that elevate the emotional depth of each track.
Through poetic lyrics and captivating storytelling, Nectar Moth’s debut takes you by the hand and leads you through a wilderness of longing, resilience, and self-discovery.
