Free Wood Chips Available to the Public at Sherwin Creek Trailhead

The Town and partner agencies are making wood chips available FREE OF CHARGE to the public at the Sherwin Creek Trailhead.

Wood chips are available free of charge to private parties for personal use ONLY. Commercial operators are requested to contact the Towns Engineering Department at (760) 965-3650 for permission to remove wood chips. Resale of this material is forbidden. Self-load and haul with no limit.

Existing logs are the property of the Inyo National Forest and are not available for wood cutting. Logs may be unstable. In the interest of public safety, DO NOT climb or play on log piles!
