Fairview Circle Fire in Bishop Updates

A structure fire sprang up Fri afternoon on Fairview Circle in Bishop. We are awaiting Details from the Bishop Volunteers. We will be updating this post often. Keep checking back for the latest

Inyo NF helicopter is on scene, but a Type 3 helicopter (more water carrying capacity) is on it’s way.

2:30 7/9/2922 – Evacuation lifted in all areas
UPDATE 7/9/22: 9:00am Senior Center in Bishop is open at 10:00am, Red Cross arrives at noon.
For those that have been displaced by the Fairview Fire and are in need of sheltering assistance- call Bishop Police Department’s Non-Emergent Line at 760-873-5866 or Inyo County Sheriff’s Non-Emergent Line at 760-878-0383 ex. 4. Dispatch will connect you to a 24-hour on-call that can provide immediate assistance for shelter. Red Cross Caseworkers will be at the Bishop Senior Center to set up recovery planning with anyone needing assistance.

EVACUATION ORDER LIFTED for the following areas:
Indian Creek, Hidden Creek, South Tumbleweed Rd., and North Tumbleweed Rd.
***EVACUATION STILL IN EFFECT***
Watterson Road area.
***Road Closure***
Reata Road remains closed.
For your safety please avoid these areas.
