Third Annual Pride Festival to Celebrate Eastside 2SLGBTQIAP+ Community
May 20, 2024 – Get ready to celebrate! Eastern Sierra Pride is hosting the 3rd Annual Eastern Sierra Pride Festival on June 1-2 at the Tri-County Fairgrounds in Bishop, CA. Featuring new and returning performers, exhibitors, and exciting activities, Pride Festival 2024 is the perfect place to have fun and be your full self with a supportive community of 2SLGBTQIAP+ folks and allies.
Pride 2024 kicks off on Saturday, June 1 with an open vendor market of 2SLGBTQIAP+ and local artists and businesses, as well as local food vendors. Attendees can enjoy many special events throughout the day, including Queer Yoga, Drag Tupperware hosted by the legendary drag queen Ethylina Canne, and live musical performances by Erica Ambrin with DJ DYOPS and Matt Harkenrider. Saturday’s festivities cap off with an All Star Drag Show, co-hosted by Ethylina Canne and returning hostess-with-the-mostess Miss Shugana—followed by dancing under the stars until midnight with the popular local DJ T Wrecks. Gates open at 12pm.
Sunday, June 2 is a day of all-ages fun starting at 12pm with the open vendor market. Families can enjoy activities including a performance by AkaMya Culture Group, the return of the wildly popular Drag Bingo hosted by Clammy Faye, an all-ages drag show, and live performances by DJ DYOPS and singer Jason Brock. Closing out the festival is a headlining concert by queer singer-songwriter on-the-rise Mariah Counts.
“We are thrilled to put on the Eastern Sierra Pride Festival for the third year in a row with the help of the Tri-County Fairgrounds and our generous sponsors,” says Ann Strohm, Eastern Sierra Pride Board Member and Festival Committee Chair. “Pride events celebrate 2SLGBTQIAP+ history and culture and we are honored be a part of this tradition with our community.”
Tickets for Pride 2024 range from $20-$55. Admission is free for Indigenous peoples. Drag Bingo and Drag Tupperware are a separate $10 ticket in addition to general festival admission.
