Don’t Miss the Halloween Pop Up Disc Golf Tournament!
On Sunday, October 31st, there will be a disc golf singles tournament in Big Pine, and registration is currently open. Located at Mendenhall Park, the one-day pop up course will feature two rounds of disc golf and is run by tournament director Tyler Starbard.
The general entry fee is $30.00, and there are 32 openings for registration, which closes October 29th at 2:00 pm. As of October 24th, 18 out of the 32 open spots have been filled, so take the opportunity to sign up at this link here. Out of the players, a random group will be assigned for round one, and ranked groups for the final round. After round two, you take home a prize – the overall winner gets a trophy.
The event will start at 9:00 am with the first round, which will go until 10:20 am. At 12:00 pm, Copper Top BBQ will be providing lunch until 2:00 pm, across the street at their new location, 442 N. Main Street. Copper Top offers sandwiches, meals (like their famous tri-tip and pulled pork), kid’s portions, sides, and drinks. Round 2 will start at 2:00 pm and run until 3:20 pm.
Kid, teen, or adult, the disc golf tournament will be some good Halloween fun (with included lunch) that you don’t want to miss. Make sure to register before spots fill up!
