March is National Women’s History Month! Here at the Capitol, I have the honor of recognizing an exceptional woman in the community to join me in the “Woman of the Year” Senate Floor Ceremony on Monday, March 10th. I am soliciting nominations directly from the community who know firsthand the impact that women make in our everyday lives. Please take a moment to identify a member of your community to nominate for this prestigious award. In addition, I will be honoring women in their local community with honorary certificates. I encourage you to include anyone you believe should be celebrated whether they are a volunteer, business leader, elected official, or community superstar.
Join me in celebrating the remarkable work of women in District 4 by nominating those who have made a significant impact. Your nominations will give these women the recognition they deserve for their exceptional contributions.
All nominees must meet the following requirements:
- Be a woman, 18 years of age or older
- Live in Senate District 4 (See California Senate District 4 map here >>)
- Submit a resume, biography, or list of accomplishments, and
- Submit a Letter of Recommendation from a local elected official answering the following question: How has this woman influenced your community to create a better place for all?
