California Department of Water Resources Measures 202% more water than last year
DWR today conducted the first Phillips Station snow survey of the season. The survey recorded 78.5 inches of snow depth and snow water equivalent of 20 inches, which is 202% of average for this date at Phillips Station. The statewide average is 160% of average.Yes, we love the rain and snow, but California needs much more. These storms have provided a glimmer of hope but more rain and snow is needed during the winter. These storms have provided much-needed drought relief.
