Thank you so much for all of your help this season. All of our avalanche awareness evenings and other events have been a huge success with your help! As we round out the season, the Caldera Burn ski mountaineering race is looking for volunteers. This is not an ESAC event, but is an awesome event for the local and backcountry community.
Caldera Burn
Volunteers needed April 17, 18, and 19th!
The Caldera Burn is a ski mountaineering race on April 19 on Mammoth Mountain. This event has been taking place for several years (with a break in 2024) and is back for more lung-burning fun. Volunteers can receive a transferrable lift ticket and reduced price entry to the race (this year or another year).
You may help with course setup and marking on April 17 and 18, or as a course marshal on April 19 (trying to help keep people on track). If you are interested in helping out or have questions about volunteering, please email Laura at [email protected].
