Board of Supervisors to Meet in Southeast Inyo
The Inyo County Board of Supervisors is going on the road next week for its annual visit to constituents in the far-flung communities of Southeast Inyo. Due to COVID-19, this will be the first time since 2019 that the Board is able to make the trip.
The Tuesday, April 19 meeting begins at 11:30 a.m. at the Ranch at the Oasis in Furnace Creek for a tour of the facilities. The tour is open to the public.
The Board will then recess for lunch and reconvene at 1:30 p.m. at the Furnace Creek Visitors Center for a workshop featuring updates from Tribal and National Park Service representatives, among others.
Following the workshop, the Board will travel to Tecopa to reconvene at the Hurlbut-Rook Community Center. Items on the agenda include public comment, department head reports, and updates on topics such as the Death Valley Unified School District, Amargosa Opera House, the Tecopa Sewer Lagoon project, and commercial cannabis operations.
Due to technological limitations, no video will be taken of the meeting and it will not be broadcast over Zoom. An audio recording will be made available online after the meeting.
The agenda and agenda packet for next Tuesday’s meeting will be posted online Thursday afternoon at
