Bishop Broncos Varsity Softball Defeat Kern Valley 7-6 in First League Game of Season

Bishop hosted Kern Valley Thursday in their first league game of the season.  Bishop came away with the victory in 7 innings 7 to 6.  Sienna Fuller started and pitched the entire game allowing 6 unearned runs on 2 hits, 10 walks and 1 hit batter, striking out 7.  Bishop scored first in the bottom of the 1st inning and held KV scoreless until the 4th inning, Giving up 1 run.  Bishop scored 3 in the bottom of 4th inning.  KV scored 5 runs in the top of the 5th with Bishop coming back to score 3 in the bottom of the 5th.  Making the score 7 to 6 Bishop.  Bishop held KV scoreless in the 6th and 7th .

Offensively,
Katya Fierro was 2 for 3 with a double, 1 walk and 2 runs scored/
Braydee Momberg had 2 sacrifice bunts.
Cambrie Lanphear was 2 for 3 with a homerun and a double.  1 Sac fly and 3 RBIs.
Ellie Boyd was 1 for 2 with 1 walk, 1 hit by pitch, 2 stolen bases and 1 run scored.
Faye Spoonhunter walked once, 1 walk with a 1 stolen base.
Laila Beall was 2 for 4 with a homerun, 1 RBI and 1 run scored.
Sienna Fuller had 1 walk.
Tannyr Ludwick walked twice had 1 stolen base and 1 run scored.

Bishop is 1 and 0 in league and 2 and 1 overall.

They will travel Tuesday to Frazier Mountain.
