Bishop Bronco Varsity Football Lose Season Opener 47-7 to Strong Fernley Team

The Broncos fell to Fernley 47-7 Friday night in the season opener. Bishop will be back on the road this Friday traveling to San Luis Obispo to face off with Mission Prep at Cal Poly.
Coach Palu’s Comments: “Hats off to Fernley. They beat Douglas High School last week and played a great game Friday night. Their offense was flawless and they played great team defense. We learned a lot about our team and we are looking forward to next week at Cal Poly. ”
This past Friday night’s players of the game:
Overall Carlos Sualez. Senior had 5 solo tackles including a tackle for a loss on defense. Had a team high 5 catches for 43 yards on offense.
Offense Senior Quarterback Emory Dondero was 11 of 19 passing for 131 yards and rushed for a touchdown.
Defense Senior Defensive back Richie Talavera had 5 solo tackles and an assist.
Special Teams Senior Kicker handled kick offs and was 1 for 1 on PATs.
