Bishop Broncos Varsity Girls Soccer Holds 9-0 Record After 8-0 Win Against Cal City

Bishop Union High School Lady Bronco soccer team hosted the California City Ravens on their first game post Christmas break yesterday January 9, 2024. The lady Broncos move to a 9-0 record outscoring their opponents 67 to 1.

At the end of the first half the score was 5 to 0. The final score of the game was 8 to 0.

Captain Alyssa Buchholz lead the team with three goals, Jillian Veenker had two goals one assist, Kylie Acree had one goal one assist, Madyn Weller and Jessica Santana each had a goal and Brooklyn Braaten had two assist during the game.

The Bishop Lady Broncos will start the second half of the season next Tuesday playing an away game at Fraser Mountain and ending the week on Thursday, January 18, 2024 at home against the Mammoth Huskies. Come out and support your team when we play against the Mammoth Huskies who are a very hard and good team.

Coach Bill Dailey is very proud on how the team has developed during the first half of season. 16 of the 18 varsity players have scored in the first half of the season. Now is the time for our leadership to focus the teams and continue to improve our play as we prepare for the fast and aggressive play of the playoffs in February.
