Bishop Broncos JV Boys Basketball Take 42-26 Victory Over Undefeated Rosamond
The Bishop JV Broncos traveled to Rosamond Tuesday afternoon to take on the Roadrunners. The Broncos were hungry for a rematch, as Rosamond is the only team to beat Bishop this season. The 1st quarter saw the two teams trading baskets with Bishop taking the quarter 9-8. Bishop used tough defense to pull away some in the 2nd quarter taking a halftime lead 20-14. Bishop came out in the 3rd and clamped down on defense winning the quarter 13-2, taking a commanding lead into the 4th. With an even 4th Bishop came out on top 42-26. This was the best defense game Bishop has play this season. Rosamond was undefeated in league thus far and it is quite an accomplishment to hold them to 26 points.
Leading the way for the Broncos was Dom Dondero with 13 points, 9 rebounds, 1 assist and 2 steals. Will Kemp added 8 points, 5 rebounds, 5 steals and 4 assists. Devaun Mitchell had 8 points, 9 rebounds, and 3 assists. Jekobe Dondero had 8 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal. Heath Fuller had 3 points and a rebound. Charlie Lewis had 2 points and 3 assists. Derrick Cortez had 2 rebounds and an assist. Michael Spratt had 3 rebounds and a block.
Bishop improves to 11-1 on the season with a game scheduled in Bishop on Friday at 4:30 against Desert. Come see the boys play.
