Bishop Bronco Tennis Remain Undefeated in League with 7-2 Victory Over Desert

Bishop tennis hosted Desert Tuesday 10/21. It was Senior Day and all 4 seniors on the team were able to secure a win. The final score was Bishop 7 Desert 2.
Senior Siena Pope won her singles match 6-7 (1-7) 6-2 then 10-8
Senior Amelia Winter won in straight sets 6-4 6-3
Senior Lola Mullner also won 6-0 6-0
Senior Azul Aranzubia and her doubles partner Lila Santana won 6-2 7-6 (7-3)
Azul remained un-defeated in league play with a 6-0 record.
Other singles scores included Avery McGraw 6-2 6-1
Aubree Frechette fought back from a 3-6 loss to 6-1 and 10-6 in her tie-break
Kinlei Romero lost 4-6 0-6.
Other doubles action Kinlei Romero and Avery McGraw won easily 6-2 6-1.
Siena Pope and Amelia Winter took their match to a tie-break 2-6 6-1 then just losing 8-10.
The Broncos remain undefeated in league with a 6-0 record.
“These four seniors have been amazing with their commitment and sportsmanship. They will be missed,” said Coach Cummings.
The individual CIF qualifying will be held this Thursday at 11. 6 Broncos will be competing. Kinlei Romero and Avery McGraw, and Azul Aranzubia and LIla Santana in doubles. Xitlaly Solorio and Siena Pope will be competing in singles.
The team brackets have not been released at this time.
