Mono County Tourism Gives us a Weather Report and Tips for staying safe During this Storm.

unnamedhhhhIt’s officially winter, and after last week’s big storms even more snow is heading our way!
The first storm is expected to start this afternoon (and it has, right on time!) and ramp up tomorrow (Thursday 12/23), dropping a possible 3 to 7 FEET of snow to elevations above 7,000′.
Per the National Weather Service, heavy snow and low visibility is expected Thursday, Friday night into Saturday, and again Sunday night into Monday…. so as always, please check road conditions before traveling, and call us at 800-845-7922 if we can help with your travel plans.
The storm warning for 12/22 to12/26 can be read here on the National Weather Service Reno office’s website.
There’s still time to find a place to stay for a last-minute holiday away… or maybe a much needed change of scenery. With so many winter activities open and possible with all of this incredible snow, we hope you can visit soon.
Safe travels and very happy holidays!
