Inyo County Invites Community to Celebrate National Nutrition Month at LIFE Night

Staff from Inyo County Health & Human Services – Public Health & Prevention invites community members  and families to join them tonight for a special Inyo Community LIFE Night in recognition of National Nutrition  Month. This free, family-friendly event brings individuals and families together to connect, learn, and  empower one another through education, resources, and community support.

LIFE Night (Linking Individuals and Families for Empowerment) will be held Thursday, March 5 from 5-6:30  p.m. at 1360 N. Main St. in Bishop, with dinner provided at 6:30 p.m. Dinner is sponsored by the local  Managed Care Plans, Anthem and Health Net. LIFE Night is held on the first Thursday of every month and  offers engaging activities for community members of all ages.

In celebration of National Nutrition Month, this month’s event will highlight the importance of healthy eating  through a fun and interactive “Nutrition Know-It-All” Jeopardy-style game, hosted by the Women, Infants, and  Children (WIC) program. Participants will learn about the power of nutrition while competing for prizes and  gaining practical tips to support healthier lifestyles.

“LIFE Night is about bringing our community together in a welcoming environment where families can learn  new skills, access resources, and support one another,” said Inyo County Public Health staff. “National  Nutrition Month is the perfect time to highlight how healthy choices can support strong families and thriving  communities.”

Community members are encouraged to attend, participate in activities, and enjoy a shared meal while  connecting with neighbors and local programs.
