Mammoth Unified School District Update: Law Enforcement Activity Near Campus
Dear Mammoth Unified School District Families,
We want to inform you about a law enforcement situation that occurred earlier today near the corner of Meridian Boulevard and Sierra Park Road by the Mono County Free Library. The Mammoth Lakes Police Department (MLPD) responded to an incident. During the course of the situation, a firearm was discharged, and an individual was transported to Mammoth Hospital for medical attention. Law enforcement is currently investigating the area. Mammoth High School students are remaining on campus during lunch today. There is no active threat to any of our school sites or the community at this time. The safety and well-being of our students remain our highest priority. We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as necessary.
