CAPITOL CONNECTION
The first week of April the Senate was in recess‚ so my team and I hit the road visiting mayors‚ community leaders and constituents throughout the district. From Inyo in the south‚ to Truckee in the north‚ we covered a lot of ground. I greatly value this opportunity to connect with the people I represent‚ to learn of the challenges you face‚ and to work together to find solutions.
Some of the highlights of the trip included:
- Joined Amador county law enforcement leaders at a town hall to push back on the release of a sexually violent predator in Sutter Creek
- Hosted a meet and greet with many community leaders in the Tahoe Basin
- Toured the Caldor fire devastation in Grizzly Flats (El Dorado) and met with water utility officials and residents
- Hosted constituent meet and greets in: Truckee (Nevada); Ione (Amador); Hughson (Stanislaus)‚ and Plymouth (Amador)
