4th of July Celebration at the Bishop City Park 

The City of Bishop is excited to host the 4th of July Celebration and Fireworks  Show at the back of the City Park. With a fun filled day, festivities will begin at  11am with Rosa’s, Burger Mania, Doggies Hot Dogs, Social Blend and other cottage foods and retail vendors at the back of the park, Free Watermelon, Pie and  Ice Cream courtesy of Bishop City Council by the Skate park starting at 1pm until  its gone, Free Swim from 1-4pm, Free Face Painting by Young Life starts at  2:30pm and at 3:30pm by the Rear Pavilion is the Grocery Outlet Watermelon  eating contest for all ages. At 4pm the Amigo’s Beer Garden will open, and the  Inyo Council for the Arts has live bands that begin at 4:15pm with the Carbé Durand Trio. Bishop Twin Theater and McDonalds sponsored Star-Spangled Bike  and Scooter Decorating Contest will gather promptly at 5:30pm and the Bishop  Jazz Combo begins at 6:15pm, Food Vendors and retail vendors are open until around 8:30pm as we prepare for the finale of the evening, THE BISHOP FIRE  DEPARTMENT FIREWORKS SPECTACULAR!

This year attendees at the City Park will be able to enjoy the ultimate sound of the  music for the show provided by KIBS Radio plus music and announcements through the day and evening will be broadcast across the back of the park by  Advantage DJ and the Porta-Party!

Please be advised that this is a NO DOG event, and you are strongly encouraged  to leave your four legged family members at home.

ROAD CLOSURES AT HANBY, PINE AND SPRUCE STREETS WILL BE IN  AFFECT AT 6AM, NO THROUGH TRAFFIC OR PEDESTRIAN TRAFFIC WILL  BE PERMITTED IN THESE AREAS FOR THE SAFETY OF THE PUBLIC.
