Vehicle Fire Spreads to Brush at The Base of Silver Canyon
Around 6pm on Monday, April 28th, a small trailer caught fire at the base of Silver Canyon but was quickly handled by local fire authorities

At around 6pm on Monday, April 28th, the siren sounded for a vehicle fire up Silver Canyon Road past Laws Railroad Museum.
Units were quick to the scene as black and white smoke signaled a spread from structure to brush.
Multiple fire crews arrived and managed to contain the spread even as wind gusts of up to 27mph carved their way through the valley blowing southeast.
One individual was being questioned on scene by Bishop Fire Department, Cal Fire, and Inyo County Sheriff’s Office as we arrived.

No more details were available on site, the story still developing as authorities inspected the charred and still smoking husk of the trailer.
Toxic fumes from the burn were in the air but luckily no injuries were reported.
