USDA Farm Loan and SBA Economic Injury Disaster Loans Available Now!

A disaster designation was declared for the counties of Butte, Glenn, Nevada, Placer, Tehama, Tuolumne, Yolo and Yuba as a result of an agriculture hard freeze that occurred on April 11-12 2022. Since Mono County is an adjacent county to the disaster area, Mono County/Town of Mammoth Lakes businesses are now eligible for low interest disaster loans.

Two separate loans are open for applications through the USDA and SBA:

  1. SBA Economic Injury Disaster Loan
    1. Who may apply: Small, non-farm businesses, small agricultural cooperatives, and most private non-profit organizations of any size. Small businesses include those that do business directly with the growers, such as truckers and suppliers of agricultural equipment or services.
    2. How to apply: Contact SBA at 1-800-659-2955, or visit SBA’s website at: www.sba.gov/disaster, or email [email protected] Hearing impaired individuals may call 1-800-877-8339.

  2. USDA Farm Loan
    1. Who may apply: Farmers and ranchers who conduct family-sized farming operations
