Temporary Closure: Rawson Canal Road
As of May 2026, Rawson Canal Road in Bishop remains closed while emergency repairs continue. The closure, which began earlier this spring, at this time is expected to last a total of approximately 6 to 9 months as crews install a stronger, more resilient culvert crossing to improve public safety and access. The closure extends from East Line Street at the northern end to just north of Buckley Pond #1.
For everyone’s safety, all vehicle and pedestrian access is prohibited during this period. Please follow posted signs and respect any gate closures in place. Crews are working as quickly and safely as possible to complete the needed repairs.
