U.S. Highway 395 Closed from Gorge Road North of Bishop to Bridgeport
ATTN DRIVERS: Due to whiteout conditions on the highway, the parameters of the closure on U.S. 395 have expanded. The highway is now closed from Gorge Rd. north of Bishop to Bridgeport.
For vehicles traveling to Nevada, U.S. 6 in Bishop is open as a detour and there are currently (as of 11:30 am) no Chain Control Restrictions on the highway.
Check quickmap.dot.ca.gov for the latest on chain control restrictions as this storm moves through our area.
As a reminder, when U.S. 395 closes, it is advised that drivers not attempt to bypass the closure using county roads, even when directed to by navigation software.
