The higher elevations around Bishop are glowing with peak fall colors—brilliant golds, fiery oranges, and glowing reds that transform the Eastern Sierra into a breathtaking autumn canvas. Now is the time to experience the magic of Bishop Creek Canyon and surrounding high-country spots before the colors descend into lower elevations. As you enjoy the season, please practice fall color etiquette: follow Leave No Trace principles, never stop in the middle of the road for photos, use designated pullouts or parking areas and avoid parking on vegetation, and stay alert for wildlife and other visitors, as deer (and photographers) are especially active this time of year.
