Tioga Pass Closed for Winter Season
Tioga Pass Closed for Winter Season
MONO COUNTY – State Route 120 W (Tioga Pass) is now closed for the winter season at the Poole Power Plant Road. Yosemite National Park originally closed Tioga Road from Crane Flat to the eastern gate on November 15 ahead of a snowstorm. Tioga Pass is the third District 9 highway to close for the season following the winter closures of State Route 203 at Mammoth Mountain and State Route 168 W at Aspendell.
State Route 89 (Monitor Pass), which also closed on November 15 ahead of the storm, has since reopened. State Route 108 (Sonora Pass) remains in a storm closure but may reopen in the next few days depending on weather. The following state highways in District 9 remain open:
· State Route 158 N (North June Lake Loop)
· State Route 120 E (Mono Mills Road)
· State Route 270 (Bodie Road)
