Suspect Arrested After Report of Lewd or Lascivious Acts with a Child in Mammoth Lakes
January 27, 2023 – On the evening of January 24, 2023, Officers were notified of a possible sexual assault that had occurred earlier that day. The following morning, Officers from MLPD and Mono County District Attorney’s Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) began investigating this incident. On January 26, 2023, 34-year-old William Frederick Roeder of Mammoth Lakes, CA was arrested on a felony charge of PC 288(A) Lewd or Lascivious Acts with a Child Under 14 Years of Age in addition to a misdemeanor charge of PC 314(1) Indecent Exposure. The alleged incident was reported to have taken place during a private ski lesson.
