Spotlight On: Holiday Home Tour

As part of our ongoing series, we are interviewing people of interest in the area who are having a positive impact on our community.

This time, we reached out to Lynne Greer from Holiday Home Tour!

The Holiday Home Tour used to be hosted by the Methodist Church. They no longer host this popular event, so I decided to offer it through our friendly church, which is called Calvary Baptist Church. It is located at 1100 W Line street in Bishop.

Where and when do you meet?

We meet at 1 PM  at the church.

I’ve heard rumors of baked goodies and beverages… is there any truth to that?

We will have home baked goods and coffee, tea, and water. You will get the addresses of the tour homes or businesses, enjoy your refreshments, and visit with fellow tourists.

How much are the tickets and where do the proceeds from the ticket sales go?

The tickets are $20.00 and the money goes to Calvary Baptist Church’s youth group. Our youth group will serve many others with these proceeds.

Lastly, what is your favorite part of the holidays?

I love the holidays and hope this activity will spread some holiday cheer. My favorite thing about the holidays is getting to see people you may not get to that often. This event is a great place to see people you haven’t seen in a long time. Events like this get people out so we can fellowship with each other.
