Tell us a little bit about the store.

Our motto here is “A kitchen store with so much more” and that describes us perfectly. We have a little of everything. We have a wide range of products from high end like Le Creuset to everyday and affordable like Cuisinart. We sell tons of unique kitchen gadgets and household items, bakeware and cookware. We sell textiles including dish towels, table runners and napkins. We sell beautiful glassware. We have wonderful lines of candles and body lotions. We also sell wonderful lines of gourmet foods! We carry a large selection of seasonal items and decor with Fall/Thanksgivng and Christmas being the biggest! We transform the store into a Christmas wonderland at the holidays!

What inspired you to open the store?

Anne opened Anne Marie’s in May of 1997 out on the highway in the little red building where Barnett Gatrell is now.  Anne had moved up from the city and saw the need for a store like this here. She had initially wanted to open a linens store but realized the need for kitchen items. In 2004 we moved to our current location on Main Street with much more space for retail and a parking lot in back. Sara the manager has been running Anne Marie’s for 15 years since Anne moved away and just celebrated her 20th anniversary working here!

Can you describe the aesthetic and style of the products you offer?

Like I said previously we carry a wide range of products. I would say majority of what we carry is for everybody! We do have some specialty sections in the store like western and farm country as well as southwestern. But we also try to keep up with the current style themes each year.

What trends are you currently seeing and what are some of your best-selling items?

Anything sourdough!! Some of our best selling items are our candles from Voluspa! We just started carrying them about a year ago and they have done wonderful for us! Anything from Mud Pie is a must have! During the holidays we are known for our Frasier Fir line which smells just like a Christmas tree!
