Sherwin Creek Trailhead Visitor Impacts Begin Today (8/26)
Beginning Monday, August 26, crews will be working at the Sherwin Creek Trailhead between 6:00am and 4:30pm, Monday to Friday, pulverizing the existing wood piles into wood chips.
Large machinery will be on site for the duration of work, resulting in considerable noise and impacts to recreation trails and activities.
In the interest of public safety, visitors are asked to avoid the area.
Thank you in advance for your understanding and patience as the Town of Mammoth Lakes, Southern California Edison (SCE) and the U.S. Forest Service – Inyo National Forest work to enhance recreation amenities in the Eastern Sierra.
