Olancha Cartago Fire Department Annual Appreciation and Awards Banquet

On February 15th Olancha Cartago Fire Department held their annual appreciation and awards banquet. This was a time for department members and their families to be recognized for their dedication, sacrifice and contributions to the department.

Awards were presented to current and past department members. Shane Dunnaway, Carol Dunnaway and Lee Smith were all recognized for several decades of service to the community and department.

Department promotions included Robert Smith and Misty Bueno to the position of Captain, Mike Metcalf to EMS coordinator and Daniel Smith to the position of acting Assistant Chief.

Misty Bueno was named 2024 Firefighter of the Year and Alberto Isidro was awarded the 2024 Community Service award.
