Great Sierra River Cleanup
Eastern Sierra Land Trust and the California Coastal Cleanup initiative are hosting the annual Great Sierra River Cleanup as part of California Coastal Cleanup day on Saturday, September 17, from 8:30 am-11:30 am in Bishop.
During last year’s California Coastal Cleanup day, 36,289 volunteers came out to 3,086 cleanups, 363,719 lbs. of trash and recyclables were removed, and 1,335 miles were cleaned. With your help this year can be even bigger!
ESLT will provide PPE, trash bags, trash grabbers, lunch and beverages. Please wear long pants and sturdy footwear, bring a water bottle, and wear sun protection. Trash will be removed along the Owens River near the Artesian Springs. Volunteers will meet at dirt parking spots just south of the bridge over the Owens along East Line Street.
Please register with Claire at [email protected] and come out to this year’s cleanup to help keep litter out of our Eastside waterways.

Join us for, Pitch It, a free workshop that will provide:
- An introduction to sources of capital that can help start and grow your company including options for your particular stage and aspiration.
- An overview of what information each funding source will require from you.
- A workshop on how to talk about your business with an emphasis on storytelling.
- Community building and networking.
This event will be an excellent primer for the SBDC Capital Summit coming to Bishop October 7th.
