New Eastern Sierra Pride Events!
Community Happenings!
Happy February! Two new events were just added to the calendar – Expressive Hearts Hand Sewing in partnership with C5 on Valentine’s Day and Death Valley Camping hosted by Sierra Club Loma Prieta Pride in March! Check out the full details below.
And as every month, we’re back at the Rambler for our Bishop Meetup on Monday, QueeReaders book discussion on the 15th (now 100% virtual!), and the Warming Hut for our Mammoth Meetup on the 21st. We hope to see you out there!
Calling 2024 Tabling Volunteers!
The season for tabling at community events is just around the corner. We rely on many of you to help us have a presence at all of these, we couldn’t do it without you! We’d like to start and sign up volunteers today for community events such as Earth Day, Rambling Peaks Festival, Mule Days, Arts on the 4th, and many more. Please email [email protected] and we’ll get you signed up.

Expressive hearts make great ornaments, Valentine’s Day gifts, or charismatic stuffed companions for your home. Whether you put faces on them or decorate in another way, unstructured sewing is relaxing and a great way to express a feeling or tell a story. Take part in this workshop and learn how to make your very own fabric heart plushie! There will be a few options of base shapes to choose from or you can make whatever shape you like from your own imagination.

This candid, funny, and uncensored exploration of sexuality and what it’s like to grow up LGBTQ also includes real stories from people across the gender and sexual spectrums, not to mention hilarious illustrations. Inside this revised and updated edition, you’ll find the answers to all the questions you ever wanted to ask, with topics like stereotypes―the facts and fiction, coming out as LGBT, where to meet people like you, the ins and outs of gay sex, how to flirt, and so much more!
You will be entertained. You will be informed. But most importantly, you will know that however you identify (or don’t) and whomever you love, you are exceptional. You matter. And so does this book.

This trip offers countless opportunities to explore and enjoy the vastness of this wondrous playground. There will be a variety of guided day hikes, including some light and easy to the more demanding, depending on our group. For those seeking less hiking, please explore a self-guided tour at the Visitor Center, take a starlight stroll through the dunes or just enjoy the beautiful spring fed swimming pool at the neighboring Death Valley Oasis Resort. The campsite offers picnic tables, drinking water, dishwashing stations, flush toilets, a grill, nearby commercial showers, plenty of room for tents and on-site parking with space for a couple vans.
