Movie Review: Scream VI
Continuing the famous saga, Scream 6 is a fresh and new direction for the franchise. It’s nice to see a horror franchise still being held in high regard.
Four survivors of the Ghostface murders leave Woodsboro behind for a fresh start in New York City. However, they soon find themselves in a fight for their lives when a new killer embarks on a bloody rampage. The new location set in New York City is a nice change for the series. NYC gives this film its own vibe, separating it from other installments, while still delivering on what has made the series so memorable. Melissa Barrera and Jenna Ortega lead the film and prove why they are rising stars. These fresh faces bring so much to the characters in Scream 6.
Like the previous installments, this is a very bloody and intense film, with plenty of jump scares and gore.
Scream 6 is Rated R for strong bloody violence, language and some teen drinking.
