FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

MOSQUITO FOGGING EVENT: BIG PINE, ROLLING GREEN/ KNIGHT MANOR

Mosquito Fogging Planned for Rolling Green/ Knight Manor Areas – Friday, June 27, 2025

Mosquito control crews will be fogging in the Rolling Green areas early Friday morning, June  27. Truck-mounted fogging equipment will be used to reduce high numbers of adult mosquitoes.

Fogging will take place between 4:00 AM and 6:00 AM, weather permitting. Operations may  be delayed if it’s too windy or cold, as fogging is less effective under those conditions.

Protect Yourself from Mosquito Bites:

  • Wear long pants and long-sleeved shirts, especially during early morning and evening  hours.
  • Use an EPA-registered insect repellent. Look for one of these active ingredients:
    DEET
    Picaridin
    IR3535
    Oil of Lemon Eucalyptus (OLE)
    Para-menthane-diol (PMD)
  • Products with a higher concentration of active ingredients offer longer protection. Always  read and follow the directions on the label before using any repellent.
