EASTWARD EXPANSION
As our trail crew pushed eastward on Paper Route this week, they were met with way more snow than expected. Drifts upwards of ten feet tall were found in and around the Chair 8 area, along with a half dozen trees that had fallen during one of the high wind events this winter (160MPH+ at the top of Chair 1). But have no fear, trail crew and Patrol have been plowing through snow and wood all week and are set to open Gopher Trail, lower Paper Route, Timber Ridge and Juniper this Saturday.
Trail Overview
While we say this about a lot of trails in our park, Juniper really is one of our favorites. Built on the ideal slope grade, this intermediate gem strikes the perfect balance of berms, bumps, natural jumps, and speed. Located on the far SE side of the mountain, you can access Juniper via Timber Ridge or Paper Route. While quite the journey to get to, we feel it’s worth the effort.
