Mammoth Mountain Snow Report – March 9, 2023
MAR 9, 2023 – 10 AM
Snow Conditions: Packed Powder
Day Temp: 27°F
Base Depth: 210–295″
Wind: Moderate-Strong
WINTER STORM ALERT
Another major winter storm is headed our way this afternoon carrying a large amount of moisture. We expect significant snow totals by the end of the weekend with mixed rain and snow at lower elevations and heavy snowfall at Main Lodge and above. Given the significance of this atmospheric river event, we expect mountain operations will be limited this weekend with lift operations likely out of Canyon and Eagle only. We are closing in on one of the biggest winters EVER!
Woolly’s Tube Park, Tamarack Lodge and XC Center and Snowmobile Adventures are likely to be closed Fri-Sun. If you have a lesson booked at Main Lodge, our team will contact you via email to move your lesson to Canyon or Eagle.
Travel to the area will be impacted and difficult. Expect extremely strong winds and a ton of moisture, especially Thursday night through Saturday. Plan ahead by having chains and know how to use them. Follow our Mountain Report page page and Road Conditions page for regular updates on operations, snowfall and more.
