Our trail crew has been hustling all over the mountain providing maintenance to some of our favorite features and giving trails that top-to-bottom love we all drool over. We’ve been hyping it up a bunch over the last year, but Boomerang sure is coming into its own. With increased usage, the berms and line have become more defined, exponentially increasing the flow of the trail. We added some angle to the lower paver berm creating a bit of a “catcher’s mitt” for those hitting the feature with speed. Be sure to catch Boomerang off Brake Through and use Chair 16 to lap it quickly on Fri—Sun.
The jump at the top of Velocity has a bit of a love/hate relationship for many. Trail crew reworked the takeoff and smoothed out the landing this week, hopefully increasing the feelings of love towards the thing. Patrol and trail crew have done maintenance on Brake Through, White Bark, Bearing Straits and in the Discovery Zone. Looks like some T-storms are in the forecast for this weekend, and things will get even better, fingers crossed!
Need a little TLC for your whip while in town? The Gear-Up is the place to go, accepting walk-ups and featuring all of the technical expertise you could ever desire. Located on the 2nd floor at the Mountain Center.
Sign up to ride the Mammoth 50K PedalPalooza on August 27.
