Town OPENS Additional Sidewalks and MUP’s for MLK

This week, Parks and Recreation staff cleared the multi-use path from the Mammoth RV Park to Commerce Drive, the College Pathway MUP, and with assistance from Public Works, opened the Canyon Blvd. sidewalk – enjoy!  For a map of accessible Town sidewalks and MUP’s please click here.

Take the FREE Bus to Tamarack this Weekend!

The Town is expecting large crowds this Martin Luther King Jr. holiday weekend. For those looking to explore the Mammoth Lakes Basin on cross-country skis, snowshoes or to marvel in its scenic beauty, consider taking the bus as parking is extremely limited. Eastern Sierra Transit operates the FREE Orange Line to and from The Village (stop #90) to Tamarack Cross Country Ski Center (stop #95), from 8am-5:15pm. with service every 30 minutes. “Adopt-A-Hydrant” this Winter! 

The Mammoth Lakes Fire Protection District is asking community members to “Adopt a Hydrant” to shovel out following winter storms, and to notify them of the hydrant’s location so they can track progress throughout town. If you would like a photo of your shoveling efforts posted on social media, or for more information about the “Adopt a Hydrant” program, please visit the MLFD website.

COVID-19 Update – Community Testing this Weekend!

The California Department of Public Health, COVID-19 Outbreak Response Team (ORT) will be providing COVID-19 Antigen/PCR testing for community members ONLY this Saturday and Sunday from 9am – 5pm at the MHS multipurpose room. County residents are required to bring proof of residency. Pre-register here.

OptumServe now offers testing Tuesday through Saturday from 11am – 7pm in Mammoth Lakes at the Sierra Star Golf Course (2001 Sierra Star Pkwy.).  Testing staff typically take lunch between 3-4pm.  Pre-register here.
